QuickFAQ's

How much are lessons?

$60 for non-members $35 for members, per student per session. If you are a non-member that comes out to just $6 per class!

What days of the week are lessons?

We offer four sessions during the summer that are each 2 weeks long, Monday through Friday. So that's 10 classes per session!

When and where do I pay?

You pay on the first day of lessons at the pool. We have a staff member near the front entrance collecting money and checking the students in. Be sure to come a few minutes before your class starts to get checked in and paid for!

Do lessons ever get canceled due to weather?

We do not cancel lessons. Through rain or shine, or the tricity winds, we're swimming! However, if there is lightning we will postpone lessons until there has been 30 minutes without lightning. We do our best to contact everyone in those situations through our FaceBook page and through email.

How do I know if my student is ready for the next level?

The easiest way to know is to ask Kaitlin. If you see that your student is progressing quickly and mastering a majority of the skills, it's likely Kaitlin has seen it as well and will suggest moving your student up.

Should I be concerned if my student is in the same level for multiple sessions?

Definitely not! We cover so much material and so many skills over the two week period that it often takes several rounds of one level for students to master all of the skills. Practice makes progress!

Do you offer private lessons?

We do! We only have one half hour slot for private lessons during the day and those fill up quickly. You can find the private lessons schedule here. Kaitlin also makes house calls, if you have a pool Kaitlin can come to you for lessons!

How many students are in a class?

We have a max of 10 students per class. In levels 1-3 we have 2 instructors for a 1-5 teacher student ratio!

How can I become a member of the pool?

Contact our Member Manager Cheryl Yoke at ranchetteestatesrc@gmail.com or our Pool President Kim Schneider at dkschneider00@charter.net

Can my child wear goggles?

YES! We love goggles! They can often be the perfect solution for little ones who don't like their eyes getting wet! However, please make sure they fit properly before the first day of class. Bathtubs are a great place to try out goggles and make the necessary adjustments so water doesn't seep in. Few things are as distracting as ill-fitting goggles being taken on and off throughout class! :)

Is there seating for parents to watch?

Yes! We have tons of seating all around the pool with several umbrellas for shade. We also have a gated, covered picnic area that is perfect if you have littles that like to run or would like to snack in the shade during lessons!

*We kindly ask that if you choose to sit near the pool edge to watch that you keep your conversations quiet as the deck area can be very distracting for students, and for teachers! Thank you!
